Ph in Water
How important is the PH level of your water?
Distilled water has an average PH of 7. This measurement means that the water is neither alkaline or acidic.
Sea water has an average PH of 8.3. This measurement means that sea water is slightly alkaline.
Lower values mean the water is acidic and higher values equate to higher alkaline levels.
Treating water that is acidic typically involves adding lime. Adding lime makes the water harder and minimizes the risk of lead being dissolved from lead pipes into the water stream.
