Mineral waters are water that have dissolved substances such as salt or sulfur like compounds. These waters are thought to have some therapeutic value. They can be ingested or can be applied. Many places or spas combine heated water with mineral water for a desired effect.


Mineral waters can appear naturally in nature. Many locations worldwide have had tourist developments started to house travelers that visit these "spa" destinations.


Mineral water may be bottled and shipped to other markets to be sold.
