The Water Cycle


The water cycle is a continuous process where water moves continually through the following steps:


  • evaporation
  • precipitation
  • runoff


    Water runoff usually finds its way to the sea.


    Oceans hold 97% of the water on the earth, but it is the other land surface water such as glaciers, polar caps, rivers and lakes that provide the clean fresh water needed for life.
